Responsibilities & Context:
A Sales Officer is responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling products and services, which involves identifying, building customer relationships, presenting products and closing deals. Key duties include achieving sales targets, maintaining accurate records, preparing sales reports, and collaborating with other teams like marketing.
Core responsibilities:
Sales and revenue:
Achieve and exceed sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling.
Customer relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients by understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service.
Presentations and negotiation:
Present and demonstrate products or services and negotiate pricing and contract terms to close sales.
Market analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, understand competitor activities, and develop effective sales strategies.
Reporting and tracking:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client information, sales performance and prepare regular reports for management.
Collaboration:
Work with internal teams, such as marketing and logistics, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of products or services.
