Job Context:
∎ Young Power in Social Action (YPSA), an organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) since 2013, is a voluntary non-profit organization for sustainable development registered with the different departments of the People`s Republic of Bangladesh including NGO Affairs Bureau contributing to national goals for making a difference in the lives of the population since its establishment in 1985. YPSA, a fleet of professional staff specializes in the six thematic areas of Health; Education; Human rights and Governance; Economic Empowerment; Environment and Climate change; and Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Response. At present YPSA`s direct program interventions reach the Greater Chittagong Division including Chittagong Hill Tracts and part of the Dhaka and Sylhet division.
∎ YPSA seeks to employ a qualified Resource Mobilization Manager to support the organization with the planning, development and management of resource mobilization activities. The selected candidate will work closely with the senior management team of YPSA and KM4D (Knowledge Management for Development) resource pool. The position will be based at the Head Office of YPSA in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
∎ Job Title: Resource Mobilization Manager
∎ Duration: The position is for an initial fixed term of 10 Months (Sep`23 to June`24), renewable based on performance and availability of funds.
∎ Job Location: YPSA Head Office, Chattogram, Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement a Resource Mobilization Strategy;
∎ Manage the resource mobilization functions by monitoring and reporting on the Resource Mobilization Strategy implementation;
∎ Conduct an environmental scan and provide donor intelligence (thematic orientations, modalities of engagement, entry points, forecasts, etc.) to the Director-KM4D department to increase the probability of attracting funds;
∎ Lead proposal development efforts ensuring efficient coordination with teams and the submission of high quality grant proposals to international organizations/donors, bilateral donors;
∎ Develop and/or enhance resource mobilization tools as needed;
∎ Maintain and extend the system in place for identification and response to calls for proposals;
∎ Continually seek innovative means of attracting new donors for increasing funding and for expanding the fundraising portfolio;
∎ Monitor and maintain the proposal pipeline and generate monthly reports for management's strategic decisions;
∎ Provide effective coordination for the establishment of the proposal development team with representatives from key staff within and outside YPSA;
∎ Act as the interface between finance and program quality teams to ensure grant compliance;
∎ Support program and program quality teams, finance, team on relevant donor requirements/compliance, potential funding opportunities, changes in donor priorities and quality grant management for all related projects
∎ In collaboration with other YPSA teams, engage in organizational brand building including the development of collateral materials to support fundraising efforts, such as brochures;
∎ Maintain the donor database in place to ensure it is an up-to-date and dynamic document and share its contents systematically with the Director-KM4D department;
∎ Supervise and ensure proper facilitation of project design workshops, developing concept papers, full proposals, and budgets, ensuring that high quality standards are met and that proposals meet donor and member requirements.
∎ Work closely with the relevant program departments to ensure high quality and timely submission of proposals and concept notes, Project Report/Project Progress Reports to donors and funding affiliate
∎ Develop generic templates for quick response to calls where donors do not provide templates;
∎ Document various meetings with donors, monitor required action and accompany the Core Management Team to meetings with donors, as required;
∎ Engage in donor relationship management to ensure donor retention and upgrades while capturing new development partners;
∎ Identify and cultivate relations with strategic implementing partners for prospective consortium style initiatives;
∎ Represent YPSA at key strategic forums both locally and internationally, as required;
∎ Build the capacity of YPSA staff on resource mobilization and program development, as required

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of five years experiences with an NGO, with at least two years in a senior program fundraising position(s) involving proposal development and donor liaison;
∎ Excellent writing, reasoning and analytical skills;
∎ Experience in developing successful proposals to private donors - trusts and foundations, good track record of successful proposals to bilateral donors will be preferred;
∎ In-depth understanding of logical frameworks as a tool to develop the theory of change and intervention logic;
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to work effectively in a multicultural environment, often at a distance;
∎ Ability to prioritize own workload and work with minimal supervision;
∎ Ability to lead complex proposal development teams.
∎ Good facilitation and cross-functional leadership skills
∎ Good research and analytical skills.
∎ Management experience
∎ Understanding of PVE (Prevention Violent Extremism) programming and relevant donors
∎ Advanced computer proficiency
∎ To work in a team
∎ To protect children in connection

Salary:
∎ BDT 81,100/- with other benefit such as festival bonus.
