Experience:

Desirable: FCPS part 1/MRCP part 1 /MRCEM part 1 /MRCPCH Part 1
Essential: Experience in managing emergency and trauma patients
Desirable: Experience in managing pediatric emergencies, NCD-related emergencies such as diabetic emergency, cardiac emergency (ECG interpretation and responding to cardiac emergencies, hypertensive crisis in acute settings.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience of working in PICU & NICU settings, especially with pre-term and LBW neonates.

Position Summary:
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) / Duty Doctor is responsible for providing continuous medical care to patients in the Emergency Department, Outpatient Department (OPD), and Inpatient Wards. The role involves patient assessment, emergency management, clinical supervision, coordination with consultants, and ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and documentation.

Main Purpose:
Provide safe and effective OPD, IPD and Emergency medical care to patients according to updated clinical knowledge, national protocols, and standard hygiene practices, ensuring high-quality patient management health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Emergency & Patient Management:
Perform primary assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization of patients presenting to the Emergency/Casualty Department.
Provide immediate life-saving care and resuscitation in critical conditions such as cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory distress, and shock.
Admit, observe, or refer patients based on clinical evaluation.
Ward & Inpatient Care:
Conduct daily ward rounds, monitor patient progress, and update treatment plans in coordination with consultants.
Ensure continuous 24/7 medical coverage for admitted patients.
Prepare admission notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Clinical Procedures:
Perform emergency and routine clinical procedures including:
Suturing and wound care, Catheterization and NG tube insertion
Basic airway management and oxygen therapy
Basic resuscitation following BLS/ACLS principles
Diagnostics & Treatment:
Prescribe medications and initiate treatment according to consultant advice and National protocols.
Arrange and review laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
Ensure rational use of medicines, especially antibiotics.
Patient Communication:
Explain diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis to patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice.
Coordination & Teamwork:
Coordinate with consultants, nurses, laboratory, pharmacy, and hospital administration for smooth patient management.
Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and training activities.
Infection Control & Quality Assurance:
Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and ensure safe use of medical equipment and Maintain proper documentation and hospital records.
Monthly Salary: Negotiable (Range will be 60000 to 90000)
Provision of residential benefits will be considered as per negotiation.
