• MBBS from a recognized medical college

• DA / FCPS / MD in Anesthesiology (or equivalent)

• Valid BMDC registration

• Age: As per organizational policy

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience

• Experience in CEmONC / C-section OT preferred

Job Responsibilities & Context

Position Summary: The Anesthesiologist is responsible for providing safe, timely, and effective anesthesia and peri-operative care for obstetric, gynecological, neonatal, and other surgical cases. The role ensures 24/7 coverage, life-saving interventions, adherence to clinical protocols, and quality patient care while coordinating with clinical teams and supporting maternal and neonatal and others Surgical Patients health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Anesthesia & Clinical Care

• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric, gynecological, neonatal, and surgical cases

• Deliver life-saving anesthesia and critical care support for Surgical cases, including medico-legal emergencies

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessment and provide continuous peri-operative monitoring

2. Emergency & Surgical Support

• Provide anesthesia for Caesarean sections (elective and emergency)

• Support emergency surgeries and other critical procedures

• Participate in referral decision-making and coordination of emergency patient transfer

3. Patient Monitoring & Pain Management

• Monitor and interpret vital signs and clinical parameters before, during, and after procedures

• Prescribe anesthesia-related medications and pain management regimens

• Counsel patients and families regarding procedures and post-operative care

4. OT & Equipment Management

• Follow daily OT and anesthesia safety checklists

• Ensure availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment, drugs, and supplies

• Report malfunctioning equipment and ensure timely maintenance

5. Coordination & Technical Support

• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and clinical teams

• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to relevant staff

• Maintain coordination with Surgeons.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and clinical documentation

• Contribute to periodic technical reports and case summaries

• Ensure accurate entry of anesthesia-related data into Register Book.

7. Teamwork & Duty Management

• Provide 24/7 anesthesia coverage (When Applicable)

• Ensure continuous care to inpatients as required
