  • Ability to work independently and manage emergency situations.

Bank Asia Medical Hospital is inviting applications from qualified, dedicated, and patient-focused candidates for the position of Medical Officer in the Pediatric Ward.

Department: Pediatric Ward

Job Description

  • Provide medical care and treatment to pediatric patients admitted to the ward.

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients under the guidance of consultants.

  • Conduct daily patient rounds and maintain accurate medical records.

  • Respond promptly to emergency cases and coordinate patient management accordingly.

  • Prescribe medications, investigations, and treatment plans as per hospital protocols.

  • Monitor patient progress and update consultants regarding significant clinical changes.

  • Ensure proper documentation of admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries and referral notes.

  • Communicate effectively with patients' parents/guardians regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

  • Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure treatment of every quality patient.

  • Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and continuing medical education activities.

  • Maintain harmony with hospital policies, ethical standards and infection prevention protocols.

  • Perform rotational and shift duties as assigned by the hospital authority.
