Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist – Radiology & Imaging to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with radiation protection standards. The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging services for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including Digital X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound assistance, CT Scan, MRI, Mammography, Bone Mineral Density (BMD), and other imaging services as assigned.

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the examination, obtaining relevant clinical information, and ensuring patient comfort.

  • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain radiology and imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and departmental protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations, infection prevention and control (IPC) practices, and patient safety standards.

  • Verify patient identity and examination requests before performing procedures.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and reports using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), where applicable.

  • Perform routine quality control checks and report equipment malfunctions promptly.

  • Assist radiologists during specialized diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures when required.

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of imaging equipment, accessories, and consumables.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to professional ethics.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, departmental audits, accreditation activities, and continuing professional development.

  • Provide emergency imaging support and perform other duties assigned by the Radiology Department or hospital management.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma in Medical Technology (Radiology & Imaging) or Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging/Radiologic Technology from a recognized institution.

  • Registration with the relevant professional or regulatory authority (where applicable).

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center.

  • Experience in operating Digital X-ray, CT Scan, MRI, Mammography, or other advanced imaging equipment will be an advantage.

  • Fresh graduates with excellent academic performance may also apply.

Required Skills

  • Sound knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation protection principles.

  • Proficiency in operating radiology and imaging equipment.

  • Knowledge of image quality assurance and equipment quality control.

  • Familiarity with RIS, PACS, and electronic medical record systems is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills.
