Japan Bangladesh Friendship Retirement Homes is seeking a dedicated and highly competent Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join our medical team. The RMO will play a vital role in delivering continuous, patient-centered medical care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being within our specialized retirement home environment. This position functions under the supervision of the Clinical Director and requires close coordination with nursing staff and specialist consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment & Admission

• Serve as the first point of contact for resident assessments and emergency medical situations.
• Conduct detailed history-taking and physical examinations.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and record all clinical findings accurately.
• Develop initial treatment plans in consultation with senior clinicians.

Inpatient Care & Monitoring

• Carry out daily rounds to monitor the health status of residents.
• Adjust treatment plans based on consultant advice and clinical changes.
• Arrange investigations, procedures, and follow-up assessments promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records for all residents.

Emergency Response

• Respond immediately to any medical emergency within the facility.
• Provide essential emergency interventions, including resuscitation and stabilization.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists or higher-level care when required.

Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with nursing teams, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Support the Clinical Director in delivering uninterrupted healthcare services.
• Ensure clear and effective communication during handovers to maintain continuity of care.

Discharge, Transfer & Documentation

• Prepare discharge summaries, transfer notes, and all required medical reports.
• Provide residents and families with clear post-care instructions and follow-up plans.

Carry out any other duties assigned by the management as needed.
