Job Context:
∎ The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka is searching for an experienced cook for a full-time position in the Ambassador`s residence.
∎ We can offer exposure to a range of tasks and independent responsibilities, along with a good working environment.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan menu, purchase and cook food for events/receptions (large and small, buffet and table service) in cooperation with the Ambassador.
∎ Prepare/cook food for the Ambassador and family based on their wishes (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
∎ Purchase food based on Ambassador’s wishes and when necessary.
∎ Coordinate with the other staff in the Residence.
∎ Coordinate with external vendors and staff for events based on Ambassador’s wishes.
∎ Receive and sign for deliveries.
∎ Follow-up and take responsibility for kitchen, pantry, etc. in terms of hygienic storage of food, cleanliness and the like.
∎ General house management and housekeeping work if necessary.
∎ Perform other tasks at the behest of the Ambassador or Chargé d ’affaires.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Must have formal culinary education. Long and relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
∎ Must have good written and spoken English and Bengali skills, including reading and following recipes.
∎ Preferable with experience from similar work for international organisations/persons.
∎ Preferable with experience from large events.
∎ Your personal qualifications: Efficient and effective, independent and resourceful, flexible, hardworking, desire and capability of personal and professional development
