∎ Social Innovation Lab (SIL) is a cross-disciplinary platform for our staff to learn about best practices in development, generate ideas, experiment, and share knowledge about scalable innovations with the global development community. SIL works as a knowledge and experimentation hub, and has been continuously supporting BRAC for stay ahead of the curve by capitalising on emerging opportunities and catalyzing innovation throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ We are looking for an experienced, analytical individual with a passion for development to join as Research & Insights specialist within the Social Innovation Lab. You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to forge new opportunities for collaboration between our programmes and key stakeholders, improving existing programming or experimenting with new solutions with the potential to improve lives for the millions of people we seek to serve.
∎ You will be joining the team at an exciting time, as BRAC works to develop and refine its organizational strategy as we enter into this new decade. You will have the opportunity to provide direct, hands-on support to programmes in improving their service design, quality, and effectiveness.
∎ You will also focus on futurecasting, anticipating innovation trends across (and beyond) the development sector) and relaying relevant opportunities to key programmatic partners. You will be able to leverage this understanding of trends to problem scope and identify moonshot opportunities. You will be on the cutting edge of ideation and design, playing an instrumental role in shaping BRAC's future initiatives.
∎ Beyond programme support and futurecasting, you will act as a driving voice within BRAC in advocating for evidence-informed social impact innovation. You will also have the ongoing opportunity to enhance the social impact of BRAC by driving strategic partnerships and building meaningful collaborations with key internal and external stakeholders.
∎ For this position: The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to research thoroughly, think critically, work collaboratively, and adapt quickly in a flexible environment. S/he will also demonstrate a passion for testing new ideas, encouraging rigor and driving innovation.
∎ Leading client-centric research to understand latent/unmet client needs for improving BRAC's programmes and/or advancing BRAC's enterprises
∎ Analyzing and generating knowledge on the process of incorporating a new viable technology or venture, from idea to launch
∎ Exposing programmes to global innovative good practices and advocating for innovation within the organization
∎ Facilitating executive decision-making based on research outcomes
∎ Developing and implementing a strategy and knowledge management framework; managing development of key communications pieces and reports related to BRAC's work through the Social Innovation Lab
∎ Building meaningful collaborations with BRAC USA, UK, reputed universities, research institutes, corporates, start-ups and relevant international platforms to increase SIL's visibility and highlight BRAC's contribution to the development
∎ Ensuring the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practicing, promoting and endorsing the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensuring the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Following the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encouraging others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5+ years of experience in local or international development sector, preferably in research and evaluation capacity, or in product development and management
∎ Knowledge in quantitative research methodologies (e.g., survey sampling and
∎ design, significance testing, regression modeling, experimental design, behavioral
∎ data analysis) and tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Atlas)
∎ Expertise in qualitative user research methodologies (e.g. usability testing and
∎ experimental design, heuristic and competitive analysis, surveys, analytics, A/B
∎ testing, eye tracking, diary and ethnographic studies)
