Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ CDD is implementing a project titled `Disability Inclusive Development-Inclusive Education Task Order-13 in collaboration with Sight savers having funding from UK Aid. The aim of the project is to Children with disabilities are enrolled, retained and demonstrate progress in learning and have increased self-confidence to participate in their learning environment; support to the rights of children with disabilities to access education and meet their learning needs. And families, community and civil society including DPOs and CSOs have knowledge and skills to advocate for inclusive education policy changes at school and national levels.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To develop and follow field visit plan as appropriate of Narshingdi Sadar Upozila DSS, DPE, JPUF and existing OPDs leaders, resource pool and other stakeholders related to the IE project at local level for ensuring quality of primary rehabilitation supports programmes for learners with severe-multiple disability and fulfil its target/plan for proper Implementation and documentation.
∎ To develop and manage a database information for basis of providing rehabilitation supports services of the learners with disability.
∎ Provide strong support to CDD & Sight savers during programme monitoring visit.
∎ As per assigned by project management team, participate in different meetings, seminars, workshops, and maintain contact with different government and development agencies with the aim of mobilizing resources and dissemination information for the development of inclusive education, rehabilitation and disability rights issues.
∎ Maintain regular contact with individual learners with disabilities/family/parents/care givers, local Government / Non-government Officials/partners staff/self help groups, SPONDON OPD and other disability likeminded networks .
∎ Organize motivation and counselling sessions to the learners with disability/family members/parents/caregivers and OPD members,
∎ Ability to organize need based daily living and social skills for learners with disability individually and groups at home plus at schools,
∎ Perform any other assignment as assigned by the concern manager/CDD authority

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Working knowledge on rehabilitation
∎ Experience in working with community groups.
∎ Experience in working with Local Government.
∎ Able to mobilize the community and to facilitate meetings.
∎ Willingness and commitment to work closely with the persons with disabilities.
∎ Person with disabilities meeting the required qualifications is especially encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 27000 - 27500 (Monthly)
