Education:
Bachelor in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy from a reputed institution.
0-1 years experience working on the same area preferably in a development and humanitarian context;
Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with project stakeholders;
Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills;
Excellent reading and writing skills in English and Bangla, including the ability to compose, edit, analyze and report using complex information;
Good written & spoken communication in English and Bengali;
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills;
Ability to work independently and in a team;
Team Working, planning and organizing;
Willingness to undertake extensive field trip;
Prepared to work for long hours in case of emergency in challenging humanitarian context.
Job Description:
Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy screening and assessment in host community/ hospital setting and home based rehabilitation;
Prepare the treatment plan and follow-up therapy services;
Provide Therapeutic interventions as required;
Selection of appropriate assistive device for clients as required· Home Modification for better accessibility for Persons with Disabilities;
Supervise the activities of the therapy Assistants and volunteers;
Provide caregivers training on continuing home exercise and related therapeutic activities;
Refer the clients to appropriate internal and external facilities and services, including medical services;
Gather and analyze the unmet need data to advocate at related government and non-government offices to ensure the availability of mainstream services for people with disabilities;
Support to produce reports (e.g., case studies, lesson learned reports, client's progress report) on short notice;
Maintain relevant register book and other documentation, organized the store equipment/ materials and assistive devices.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants;
Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project;
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional responsibilities:
Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

CDD is recruiting ‘Rehabilitation Officer’ for the project titled “Provision of integrated comprehensive support to persons with disabilities and other vulnerable people while strengthening the capacities of humanitarian actors through inclusive humanitarian action and coordination” which will be implemented with the support of HI.
