Educational Requirements:
∎ Master or Bachelor Degree in Agriculture / Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural related subject
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of experience working on agriculture market system development project or marketing
∎ Prior experience of USAID funded-project implementation has highly given priority
∎ Experience of management and working with private sectors
∎ Experience of training facilitation, module development, collaboration with private (agro-inputs company) and public sectors
∎ Familiarity and experience with project management concepts such as logical frameworks, impact logic, or result chains
∎ Considerable understanding and knowledge of rural markets, market actors, trading relationships, market systems, engagement of the private sector, and rural service provision
∎ Experienced in providing business planning and financial management services to clients (e.g. profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets)
∎ Must understand the technical, social, and other constraints in the development field;
∎ Good analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Energetic and focused approach to sales coaching and mentoring
∎ Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
∎ Self-motivated and a team player
∎ Ability to work under pressure as part of team, and collaborate with a broad range of public and private sector actors
∎ Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural context
∎ Written and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
∎ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, e-mail, and the internet
