Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ This position will be recruited by CDD under a project titled `Inclusive Emergency Assistance to Crisis-affected Rohingya Population in Cox`s Bazar and Bhasanchar, Bangladesh` to be implemented with the support of HI. The duration of the project is up to December 2023, possibility to extend subject to funding agency availability and government approval.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide Eye screening and assessment under project and provide periodic data and reports in regard to camp and other assigned works.
∎ Assessment of visual acuity, Refractive error and Identify with low vision patient and primary eye care service.
∎ Diagnosis ocular disease and refer to proper health practitioner.
∎ Refractive error measurement and power glass prescription.
∎ Measurement of spectacles power.
∎ Fundus copy evulsions.
∎ Referred to eye hospital and eye specialist (Ocular Disease)
∎ Register book maintain.
∎ Provide orientation about visual Acuity.
∎ Provide record list (Camp) for continue follow up by Refractionist himself.
∎ Take Responsibility of proper care of Eye Instruments.
∎ Maintain ethical principle
∎ Maintain rules & regulation of CDD.
∎ Monthly report to project manager.
∎ Any other task assigned by the CDD authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 45 years
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)

∎ T/A, Mobile bill, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Prorata basis festival bonus
