Job Context:
∎ Location: Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar District
∎ Reports to: Innovation Specialist
∎ Nature of Job: Contract
∎ Level: Mid-level
∎ Project`s duration: February to December 2023 (with possibilities of extension)
∎ The Quality Controller will be responsible to achieve a satisfactory quality of the bags in relation to the level of choice in design, styles, colors, suitability of components and fitness of the products for the market. S/he will ensure maximum production of goods within the specified tolerances correctly. S/he will ensure timely implementation right from the initial stage of sourcing raw materials to the stage of final finished product.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday. This position may be required to work some overtime hours.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review the existing design and provide recommendations for quality control
∎ Establish acceptable working tolerances in relation to all values on the specification
∎ Develop a fault rate recording system
∎ Improve technical understanding of the product making
∎ Develop instruction manual to follow up quality of products
∎ Give detail specification to ensure quality production
∎ Conduct training on operating manual, electric and industrial sewing machines and developing related training materials/ modules.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential:
∎ Minimum 3 years in a similar field with extensive knowledge in producing bags and other items for both local/ international audiences.
∎ Knowledge in conducting training on operating manual, electric and industrial sewing machines and developing related training materials/ modules.
∎ Fluency in local language of Cox's Bazar area.
∎ Other:
∎ Knowledge of capacity building tools and techniques.
∎ Good understanding of basic human rights.
∎ Ability to cope up and mix with multicultural people and multi-tasks.
∎ Ability to foster collaborative, transparent and accountable relationships.
∎ Ability to work at Rohingya Camps at Cox's Bazar.
