Educational Requirements:

∎ A minimum of 5-7 years as Quality Assurance Management / relevant experience in garment inspection, kids wear will be highly advantage
∎ Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA/QC.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ PRE-PRODUCTION MEETING:
∎ Review the risk assessment line review comments and identify any areas of concern
∎ Focus the quality team and factory for PPM scheduling ensure teams review the approved Pre-Production Sample (PPS) at this stage
∎ SAMPLE EVALUATION:
∎ Assist with review of any Carter's product samples as time & schedule allow.
∎ Be familiar with all Carter's systems about product development, packaging and BOM.
∎ IN - LINE PRODUCT AUDIT:
∎ Focus the QA teams to in-line performance including review of the cutting/cut panel measurement reports, first output printing/embroidery panels and sewing performance
∎ Conduct product audits, document the findings, highlight concerns to QA leadership and , work with factory leadership to ensure the highest standards of product safety and quality.
∎ Identify recurring issues, determine root cause and coach factories to improve
∎ FINAL (AQL) SHIPMENT PRODUCT AUDIT :
∎ Ensure teams are reviewing the audit schedule based on the PO list summaries and factory requests.
∎ Execute CGS AQL audit procedures and record in e-SPS system
∎ Alert QA leadership, and Sourcing as necessary, of any failed audits and determine if rework should commence. Manage the team to conduct applicable AQL re-audits
∎ Evaluate and assist in developing processes, specifications and critical control points in manufacturing for ongoing quality assurance of all finished goods.
∎ Supervise and randomly check the factory CA teams as well as the CGS QA teams to ensure the correct inspection protocol is being followed
∎ ANCILLARY ACTIVITIES:
∎ Assist with monthly by-factory CSR one-page checklist and quarterly metal audit checklist.
∎ Assist with the new factory QQA/PSA audit on an as-needed basis
∎ Partner with the ME team to provide support and inputs as necessary
∎ Manage and chair the monthly RFT Council meeting where applicable
∎ Conduct continuous training and final audits for factory Certified Auditors (CA's) as necessary
∎ Report important observations or changes to factory situations regarding management, customer base, equipment investments, capacity expansion, etc.
∎ Conduct guidance & training for new ground QA and safety assessment for new vendor
∎ Regularly review and handle customer complaints
Additional Requirements:
∎ Familiar with US/Canada market requirements.
∎ Experience in woven/knit items, and baby/children wear.
∎ Able to work independently with factories.
∎ Computer literate in Excel, Word, Power point.
∎ Good command of written and spoken English.
∎ Good Man-management skills
∎ Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of
∎ completion efficiently and effectively
∎ Good analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
∎ Frequent travel to factories is required.
