Responsibilities & Context:
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified QC Painting Inspector/Supervisor to oversee coating and painting quality activities for steel tanks, pressure vessels, and heavy steel structures. The candidate must have strong technical knowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation, and international coating standards to ensure project compliance and long-term protection of assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect all surface preparation, blasting, and painting/coating activities on steel tanks and vessels.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as NACE, SSPC, ISO 12944, and project-specific specifications.
- Review and verify coating material certifications, batch numbers, and mixing/application procedures.
- Conduct inspections at various stages: surface preparation, primer, intermediate, and final coat applications.
- Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) before and during coating activities.
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors, applicators, and QC teams to ensure quality workmanship.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain quality records, and ensure documentation for client approval.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to project safety and quality requirements.
