  • Minimum 8–10 years of QC experience in steel tanks, vessels, and heavy steel fabrication projects, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, NDT, coating systems, and fabrication standards.
  • Certifications such as NACE, AWS CWI, CSWIP, ISO Lead Auditor will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, resolve technical issues, and implement quality systems effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated QC Manager to lead our Quality Control department for projects involving steel tanks, vessels, and related structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, inspection standards, and hands-on experience in steel fabrication and coating. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Control Program for steel tank and vessel projects.
  • Supervise and lead QC inspectors, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and welding/coating procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate and oversee inspections related to welding, fabrication, coating, and testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with international codes/standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and NACE/SSPC.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and prepare project QA/QC documentation for client submission.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring to QC staff to maintain a high level of competency.
