Ensure that all samples meet buyer specifications and quality standards. This involves inspecting fabrics, patterns, cutting, sewing and finishing of all type of samples as well as coordinating with various teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely sample delivery.

• Sample Inspection:

  • Fabric and Trims: Verifying fabric quality, color, and consistency against buyer standards and approval swatches. Checking trims like buttons, zippers, and labels against the trim card and ensuring they match buyer specifications. 

  • Patterns and Cutting: Ensuring patterns are accurate, graded correctly, and cut according to specifications. 

  • Sewing: Inspecting seams, stitches, and construction details for proper alignment, strength, and appearance. 

  • Finishing: Checking for loose threads, iron marks, and other defects in the finished sample.  

• Pre-Production Activities:

  • PP Meeting Preparation: Assisting in preparing for pre-production meetings by highlighting potential quality issues and suggesting solutions. 

• Coordination and Communication:

  • Internal: Collaborating with pattern makers, sample sewers, and other concern to address quality issues and ensure samples are produced to the required standards. 

  • External: Communicating with the buyer`s quality control team (if applicable) to clarify requirements and address concerns.  

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Recording Findings: Documenting inspection results, noting defects, and tracking corrective actions. 

  • Reporting: Generating reports on sample quality, identifying trends, and highlighting areas for improvement.  

• General:

  • Following Buyer Requirements: Ensuring all samples are produced according to the buyer`s specifications and quality standards. 

  • Troubleshooting: Assisting in identifying and resolving quality issues during sample development. 

  • Following Up: Following up on corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved and samples meet standards.  

• Compliance:

  • Maintaining Quality System: Implementing and maintaining the company`s quality control system. 

  • Following SOPs: Adhering to standard operating procedures for quality control. 

  • Compliance Audits: Participating in compliance audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.  

• Training:

  • Training Staff: Providing training to other quality control personnel on quality standards and inspection procedures. 

  • Skill Enhancement: Continuously improving their own skills and knowledge related to garment quality.
