Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years experience in WASH programming including public health engineering in emergencies.
∎ Excellent experience in developing design, drawing, BoQs, water quality testing & monitoring of engineering activities.
∎ Excellent experience in planning, implementing, mobilising resources, coordinating etc for the smooth implementation of project activities.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills, to deal with a wide range of contacts, including negotiating and assertiveness skills
∎ Good understanding and use of humanitarian international codes of conduct and minimum standards, especially the Red Cross Code and SPHERE standards.
∎ Experience in working with partner organizations, and in particular on participatory approach and strengthening capacity around project cycle management.
∎ Strong team working skills and ability to motivate and facilitate the work to others.
∎ Ability to work independently with different teams and under matrix management
∎ Experience in promoting water rights and water governance perspectives at local contexts
∎ Demonstrated experience of integrating gender, Person with Disability, marginalized and diversity issues in public health programme activities.
∎ Demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing M&E systems for public health engineering.
∎ Training/Counterpart development skill
∎ Good written and spoken english
∎ Contract/contractor management, tendering, estimation- experience
∎ Market based WASH approaches and community engagements
∎ Clear understanding on gender and diversity issues.
∎ Strong negotiation, facilitation and leadership skills.
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs.
∎ Ability to travel and to work in difficult and emergency circumstances
