Job Context:
∎ Contract Duration: 31st May, 2020 (High possibility of extension)
∎ Psychosocial worker- is responsible for providing Mental Health Care Practices support, Breastfeeding counselling and basic Psychosocial Support in SSWG/OTP/SC/TSFP/BSFP/UHC. As well as based on the need of the beneficiary outreach work and internal and external referral in the working area.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure adequate welcoming of beneficiaries & their registration and assessment in care practices activities.
∎ Develop intervention plan, implement and follow care practices activities (psychosocial interviews and follow-up, group discussions, play sessions etc.) & beneficiary home visits and at family level when needed.
∎ Conduct interviews based on respect and empathy, accompanying persons in difficulty, detect the difficult cases and refer them to the necessary people or services.
∎ Organize and animate sessions for mother - child in difficulty (e.g. psychosocial stimulation through play, massage, bathing, etc.);Produce educational and alertness support media for children (individual or collective inside and outdoor games, drawings, songs, dances, plays, gymnastics, toy making, etc.).
∎ Participate in team meetings, capacity-building activities collecting, entering data, research, and studies and prepare accurate numerical and quality narrative report of the activities.
∎ Supervision, coaching & capacity building of volunteers and focal points (activities and attendance).
∎ Proactively Participate in other activities of MHCP assigned by the supervisor and relevant to the position & support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 01 year of experience in psychological, social assistance, protection or health education is preferable
∎ Sense of confidentiality
∎ Empathy
∎ Knowledge of child development
∎ Good communication and adaptation aptitudes
∎ In-depth knowledge of the beneficiary population's culture
∎ Good knowledge of English and local languages
Salary: Tk. 36574 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year;
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary;
∎ Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year depending on performance;
∎ End of Contract Benefits: As per organizational Policy
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year);
∎ 18 days of paid annual leaves per year.
