Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence (BTS) is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named `Strengthen Children Of RMG worker`s Protection and Education rights (SCOPE)` at Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation and Savar Upazilla, Dhaka District. The project will be implemented by BTS with the support of `Save the Children` and financed by MANGO. BTS is going to recruit the `Psychosocial Counselor for the mentioned project and the position`s desk office will be at Mirpur, Dhaka.

∎ Report to: Project Coordiantor /Director Program & Planning
∎ Supervisee: Psychosocial Counselor
∎ Tenure of Services Contract:
∎ 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project`s lifetime.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Actively promotes the availability of counseling services.
∎ Conducts individual and group counseling for children, young people, and their family members
∎ Work with the team for assessing need of psychosocial service (PSS) and specialized mental health support among the target group
∎ Develop the capacity of front-line staff on Psychological First Aid (PFA)
∎ Provide PFA to children at first contact
∎ Ensure PFA is provided to all children and making sure proper documentation is in place through collaboration with case workers and other staff to ensure
∎ Effective coordination with Case Management Officer & Case Worker to develop and proper implementation of care plans and documentation of counseling information in respective case file of children
∎ Provide distance or face to face Counseling to individual children and parents
∎ Take appropriate measures to refer most critical mental health cases to experts
∎ Assist Case Management Officer & Project Manager to produce quality periodic reports
∎ Keeps systematic records of work and maintains confidentiality
∎ Develops work plans and reports of activities.
∎ Provides weekly, monthly, and periodic counseling reports to the Project Manager.
∎ Make necessary field visits to assess the quality of the action of the project and keep notes of the findings
∎ Perform any other duties as and when required
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years and at least 1 year of experience in the field of community mobilization work.
∎ Experienced in community mobilization work
∎ Experience working with vulnerable and at-risk groups
∎ Demonstrated experience in coordination with Child Protection actors, garments workers, garments owners, service providers, duty bearers etc.
∎ Skilled in using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Teams
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Resilient, flexible and gender-sensitive
∎ Ability and willingness to travel to the field.
∎ Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
∎ Excellent communication and listening skills
∎ Proactive and have the desire to learn and build professional expertise

Salary:
∎ Gross: Taka 34,500/

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 2 days weekend
∎ Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
