Educational Requirements:

∎ Registration and/or recognition by respective regulatory council
∎ Skills Required: Chittagongian language, Communication

Job Responsibilities:

∎ Key Result #1: Coordination and Teamwork
∎ Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals within the Primary Health Care settings and in cooperation with visiting psychiatrists and occupational therapists
∎ Work in collaboration with doctors and diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders in accordance with diagnostic criteria, offer therapy and treatments for issues relating to a range of mental health conditions
∎ Participate in any assessments that may be conducted by the organization, MHPSS TWG and wide humanitarian response in support of adding to the evidence base of practice in the Rohingya refugees’ settings
∎ Key Result #2: Clinical
∎ Assess clients' needs, abilities or behavior using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of their behavior
∎ Provide psychological assessment and consultation services, devise and monitor appropriate treatment program, including therapy, counselling or advice, and other psychosocial support in collaboration with colleagues
∎ Help clients develop and define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment and evaluate service provision for clients
∎ Provide consultation to other professions, including and not limited to nutrition counselling, survivors of gender-based violence, encouraging a psychological approach in their work counsel and support caregivers
∎ Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients and their family members to efficiently address arising issues
∎ Provide therapy to groups and individuals using various evidence-based modalities
∎ Key Result #3: Capacity Building
∎ In consultation with the Medical Coordinator and MHPSS coordinator, support capacity building for other health care professionals, the community psychosocial volunteers as may be required
∎ Key Result #4: Follow up and Referral
∎ Monitor client progress through regular meetings and checkups
∎ Mental health assessment, therapeutic plan and follow up of patients with severe trauma
∎ Contribute to and follow up of psychological referral patients to other medical facilities
∎ Keep track of and support referral linkages to other actors on the humanitarian response

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 37 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Post-qualification experience in clinical care to adults and children
∎ Non smokers will get preference
∎ Fluency in English required
