Job Context:
∎ Our Team:
∎ You will be part of the Oxfam Office based in Cox’s Bazar. You will be part of the Protection Team and will work closely across the different teams including PHP, PHE, Gender, HR, Logistics and Finance team.
∎ The Role:
∎ Oxfam GB is looking for a dynamic person to contribute to plan and implement emergency Wash Activities in Rohingya Response plan in collaboration with protection colleagues ensuring quality of each level within the project time frame.
∎ To be part of the protection team that implements Oxfam GB’s community-based protection activities in selected refugee camps and host communities in Teknaf.
∎ What we are looking for:
∎ We are looking for a dynamic person to work with others to support communities affected by emergencies, mobilising them to act to protect themselves from threats to their life, health and dignity. To work closely with other departments so as PHP/EFSVL/PHE/ Gender to ensure integrated and coherent response.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential:
∎ Will to work with most vulnerable people and people related to protection aspects
∎ Strong conceptual and practical understanding of protection issues and approaches in humanitarian contexts, including the constraints, sensitivities and risks associated with such work
∎ Strong understanding of protection standards, key sectoral issues and processes including advocacy for protection
∎ Understanding of local protection context
∎ Demonstrable understanding of the gender dynamics of protection work and ability to implement protection activities with an emphasis on the gendered aspects of conflict, violence and abuse
∎ Excellent influencing and negotiation skills. The ability to work independently as well work as a team player – supporting other departments is essential
∎ Solid understanding of monitoring and learning processes
∎ Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking, ability to apply professional and ethical standards to data collection and analysis processes, and research
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and representational capabilities. Fluency in written and spoken English essential
∎ Able to live and work in remote, insecure and logistically challenging operations and in a multi-cultural environment; with a high level of self-reliance, adaptability and initiative. This includes walking in difficult environment several hours a day.
∎ Initiative, drive to achieve results, working with others, organisational awareness, respect for others and self-awareness.
∎ Have flexibility on working hours and days
∎ Desirable:
∎ Bachelor degree in related field
∎ Two years’ field work experience in protection programming
∎ Knowledge of and experience of Cox’s Bazar context
∎ Chitagong/Rohingya language skills are seen as great asset
∎ Experience in participatory research and community based programming
∎ Local knowledge on protection issues is highly desirable
∎ Key Attributes:
