Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the protection related activities
∎ Conduct field visits 4-5 times a week to meet with persons of concern within the community in need of internal and/or external services;
∎ Safely conduct internal referrals for rehabilitation, PSS, or medical support, and/or external referral to other specialized services;
∎ Regularly follow up the assigned cases to gather feedback on services provided to ensure all services are provided;
∎ Organize and conduct awareness-raising activities, FGD and information sessions on inclusion and protection related issues;
∎ Contribute to building positive relationships within the community including with community leaders and other external stakeholders;
∎ Ensure information dissemination about services available to empower persons of concern and facilitate participation in decision-making;
∎ Maintain up-to-date understanding of target communities including protection trends and social dynamics.
∎ Coordination within the team
∎ Ensure people in need of services receive appropriate multidisciplinary support;
∎ Work in close collaboration with the social worker, team leader, and other members of the team to ensure effective communication;
∎ Participate in internal case conferences with the team members to ensure efficient communication and provision of adequate services for complex cases with the support of the technical team;
∎ Work in close collaboration with volunteers, ensuring the quality of services.
∎ Data Collection, Storage, Analysis and Sharing
∎ Provide support to the social worker regarding the internal management and documentation of the case if needed in line with internal standard operating procedures and guidelines;
∎ Ensure cases are documented safely through mobile data and other data collection methodologies;
∎ Adhere to HI's data protection and confidentiality protocols
∎ Networking and representation
∎ Identify and network with external service providers to reinforce referral mechanisms;
∎ Support the Team Leader in the continuous mapping of services available in HI's areas of intervention;
∎ Establish and maintain positive and efficient relations with target beneficiaries, community members, and all the other actors operating in the camp;
∎ Participate in protection and/or coordination meetings with other stakeholders upon request of the Team Leader.

∎ Ensure compliance with HI technical standards and Code of Conduct;
∎ Ensure PSEA and Child Safeguarding standards are upheld.
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed term
∎ Duration of the Contract: 1 year (with the possibility of extension)

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 65 years
∎ Essential:
∎ Communication skills in verbal and written Bangla and English
∎ Previous NGO work experience
∎ Previous experience managing group sessions.
∎ Computer knowledge (MS office package- including Excel -- both in English and Bangla)
∎ Able to work in challenging conditions
∎ Experience working within a team
∎ Rigorous and organized
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Knowledge of humanitarian or development context(s)

∎ Desirable
∎ Experience in Humanitarian settings;
∎ Experience working in the protection sector;
∎ Experience working in a multidisciplinary context;
∎ Rohyngya, Chittagonian, and/or Burmese; language is preferable.

Salary: Tk. 52731 - 55881 (Monthly)

Presently HI Bangladesh is implementing projects on integrating disability in community based disaster risk reduction and response; economic empowerment of extreme poor persons with disabilities; mainstreaming disability in livelihood interventions; support to refugees and surrounding communities;, capacity building of professional associations; and support to Disabled People`s Organizations; among others.”
