Experience:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in any discipline preferably in Social Science / Sociology / Anthropology / Peace & Conflict Studies / Gender Studies.
• Minimum 1 year of professional work experience in relevant sectors (National/ International NGO)
• Familiar with Protection Sector & CBP Sub sector rules & regulations relevant to Rohingya Camp context.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent reading and writing skills in English and Bangla, including the ability to compose, edit, analyze and report using complex information.
• Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and report writing skills;
• Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building, and change management skills.
• Basic IT skills, basic knowledge of MS Excel.
• Have skills and expertise in communicating by email and the internet use.
• Proven experience in similar development/ humanitarian program and team management. Experience in disability inclusion in Development or in Humanitarian response is an added advantage.
• Identify areas for professional development and share with team manager to enable an action plan to improve professional skills.
• Engage in self-directed learning to grow skills and competencies.
• Seek feedback and support as necessary to improve skills and achieve objectives.
*** Job Responsibilities:
• Play prime role in the identification process of the Persons with Disabilities or Impairment.
• Refer clients to appropriate internal (CDD) and external service providers based on their assessment, follow up on the referral process, ensure they receive the required services, and support a proper discharge once the planned interventions are completed.
• Provide/ facilitate protection services in camp setting in Rohingya camp through HBR to improve the overall protection situation in the concerned camp.
• Participate in Protection Emergency Response Unit (PERU) to ensure disability inclusion mainstreaming in the process.
• Maintaining strong liaison with the Camp Protection Focal to uphold multidisciplinary service needs from the beneficiaries.
• Organizing Protection Awareness Sessions with relevant messaging and information.
• Take a holistic approach to uphold the core protection principles within the program in relevant sector.
• Accurately perform data entry through prescribed software/systems (SurveyCTO) in a timely manner.
• Responsibly using the data collection device provided by the organization and ensure full security of the data under any circumstances.
• Attending Protection/CBP related meetings at the camp level and generate report for submission.
• Attending Sector/Camp Coordination meeting when required.
• Regularly report to CDD Management on collaboration opportunities related to protection sector.
• Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.
• Prepare case reports on services, types of conditions handled and other need-based reports when/ as required.
• Provide guidance to volunteers in organizing sessions and events.
• Assist volunteers to prepare and regularly monitor the work plan.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
• Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
• Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by any competent authority.

• The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

• The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
• CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘Protection Officer’ under upcoming projects of CDD. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
