Job Context:
∎ GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for its Rule of Law programme for the position "Project Officer - Paralegal Advisory Service".
∎ Band: 3T
∎ Contract Duration: For 1 year
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (field visit expected)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible for:
∎
∎ Ensuring coordination, communication and collaboration of capacity development process of Paralegal Advisory Service (PAS)
∎ Coordinating client feedback process of Paralegal Advisory Service
∎ Collaborating monitoring process of Legal Service Information Desk (LSID) with respective teams
∎ Supporting in preparing training outlines and implementing possible capacity development strategies
∎ Coordinating development and publication of different materials for PAS
∎ Supporting partnership between relevant GOs and NGOs
∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
∎ Tasks:
∎ 1. Quality Management
∎
∎ Ensure polite and successful interface with paralegals, partner organizations and other stakeholders
∎ Provide guidance to the PNGOs to establish and monitor of Legal Service Information Desk
∎ Coordinate, follow-up and finalize consultancy contracts for printing and publication process of different materials for PAS
∎ Assist national and international consultants, as required
∎ 2. Capacity Building
∎ Coordination, Communication, Planning and Implementation of capacity building process of Paralegals and District Project Officers
∎ Support to identify training needs in consultation with various functional teams for fulfilling programme objectives
∎ Develop annual capacity building plan
∎ Co-facilitate training and events on PAS as needed
∎ Ensure mainstreaming of gender and disability in the development and delivery of training
∎ 3. Case Management
∎ Support institutional capacity enhancement on case management approach
∎ Identify policy issues from day to day operation of PAS by analyzing field information
∎ Provide necessary support to implement case management approach by different forums, as required
∎ 4. Knowledge Management
∎ Ensure appropriate documentation and information flow within the PAS team
∎ Compile and analysing field information to share with the program team
∎ Collect and compile results of Legal Service Information Desk
∎ Maintain and update Paralegal Data Base
∎ 5. Other duties/additional tasks
∎ Contribute in other project activities and any other tasks as required
∎ Undertake further job-related training to his position and duties, if required
∎ Any other duties assigned by supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years' experience in relevant field
∎ Experience of working with external stakeholders at local and national level
∎ Other knowledge, additional competences:
∎ Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice sector will be an asset
∎ Knowledge of existing in-country training institutes and experts
∎ Strong writing, reporting and documentation skills in both Bangla and English
∎ Strong communication and inter-personal skills
∎ Proven ability in self-organization, to work independently, under pressure and deliver on time
∎ Proven ability to work as a team member
∎ Proven commitment to gender equality and disability
