Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non government organization working in the coastal area of Bangladesh since 2000 with a view ensure quality education, humanitarian response, capacity building, child protection,rights ofthe poor, adolescent and excluded people.The organization is going to implement an innovative project “Grow Green to Protect the Planet (G2P)” funded by Educo International at a village of Amtali Upazila under Barguna district.The project duration is May2022 to December 2022. NSS is seeking a Project Officer to implement the project activities successfully. The PO is responsible for implementation of project activities as per with close coordination of PM, STAY Project as well as NSS Management.
∎ Job Location:Amtali Upazila of Barguna District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Produce regular work plan and activity reports (monthly)
∎ Develop innovative idea for resilience community and introduce indigenous and adaptive technology to adverse effect of climate change.
∎ Implement field activities as per project guideline.
∎ Assist to maintain liaison with the public representatives,civil society, academicians,government officials, NGO personnel, community people,farmers, women groups and other civil society forum.
∎ Assist to facilitate training developing module schedule and other IEC materials at community level.
∎ Facilitate meeting, workshop, seminar etc.
∎ Provide information and data to the Stay Management and NSS management to ensure effective coordination and proper implementation.
∎ Assist to plan and design of advocacy activities and develop implementation strategies.
∎ Work with different stakeholders and committees formed by NSS.
∎ Maintain coordination and work closely with STAY project and NSS management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Anadvanced university degree preferablyMSS/Disaster Management/Development studies
∎ In case of experienced person, educational qualification may be considered but not below the graduation level.
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in DRR and climate change adaptation, program management in development sector.
∎ Working knowledge on innovative program development and design, consultation, training, DRR,climate change and adaptive technology focusing on resilience, community led and co-co creation and management approach.
∎ Strong facilitation, interpersonal and presentation skills and able to develop project based learning, publication materials etc.
∎ Ability to work independently, functioning effectively in a collaborative environment.
∎ Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks without losing sight.
∎ Excellent command on English and Bangla in verbal and written communication.
∎ High level proficiency on computer usage on hardware and software e.g MS office package, with internet communication
∎ Excellent communication and networking skill with wide range of stakeholders as govt.NGOs, civil society and local elite and influential people.
∎ Good understanding and analytical ability on current trend of changing climate and relevant policies.
∎ Ability to Extensive field visit will be essential criteria.
∎ In case of experience age may be considered.
∎ Age Limit: Not over 45

∎ 40,000 BDT (including travel and communication)
