∎ Balchelor in URP/ Environmental Science/Development Studies/ Anthropology from any recognized university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ JJS is a national level, non-political, non-profitable NGO and working in the Southwest Coastal Region of Bangladesh since 1985, right based environmental and social development organization JJS work focus includes governance and human rights, climate change adaptation and resilience, disaster risk reduction, WaSH, food security, child rights & child protection and gender mainstreaming & empowerment. As a part of that, JJS has been implementing a project titled "Strengthen Civil Society and Public Institutions to Build Community Resilience for Climate Change Adaptation project at Mongla under Bagerhat District. For the project JJS is looking for a project officer.
∎ Job Location: Mongla Upazila under Bagerhat District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY AREA 1: DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT M&E SYSTEM, STRATEGY AND APPROACH -
∎ Develop and shape the result based Monitoring plan for the project.
∎ Execute the monitoring plan to keep the project in line.
∎ Manage monitoring operation system by developing different monitoring tool and techniques.
∎ Collect relevant data / information from field to analyze to see whether the project in line.
∎ Manage and guide baseline studies for the project
∎ Provide advice to the project management on how to improve the program
∎ Regular field visit to monitor field level implementation of the project.
∎ Assist to develop new innovation for ongoing and future project.
∎ Participate and facilitate different Training / Meeting / Workshop at different levels of the project areas.
∎ Conduct training to the project staff on different issues for their capacity building.
∎ KEY AREA 2: DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING -
∎ Provide progress report of implementation against the project goals and objectives to the project management and the team regularly.
∎ Ensure the project report are developed and submitted in timely manner to the related authorities.
∎ Regular documentation and reporting of field activities.
∎ Provide support to the project coordinator in developing reports and facilitating timely implementation of project intervention
∎ Capture various achievements, challenges, learnings and best practice time to time and document that by different means.
∎ Prepare periodic (Monthly, Quarterly, Sixth Monthly and Annually) reports, case-studies and best practices.
∎ Develop different issue based training modules.
∎ Develop different issued script for audio vidual maetrials for mass awareness.
∎ Prepare periodic monitoring reports.
∎ Provide technical support, trainings to field staff for proper documentation and M&D
∎ Develop a common platform to disseminate learning's and challenges of the project
∎ KEY AREA 3: PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION AND MONITORING -
∎ Provide guidance and support to project's staffs to ensure that the project is implemented effectively with high impact according to agreement with donor and state-of-the-art technical quality standards
∎ Lead preparation, review and periodic revision of detailed implementation plans
∎ Monitor progress through field visit, review of indicator, and meetings with staffs, communities, partners and other stakeholders
∎ Assist to conduct research to find climate change adaptive options to create climate change adaptation.
∎ Play facilitation role in different training , meeting and workshop.
∎ KEY AREA 4: COORDINATION / REPRESENTATION -
∎ Keep good relation with the project team.
∎ Maintain a solid, up-to-date understanding with all the implementing organizations & other NGOs
∎ Represent Project, JJS and MJF in different forums and networks efficiently.
∎ Reporting:
∎ He / She will be directly reportable to Project Coordinator.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 35 years
∎ 2 years of working experience on relevant job in NGOs.
∎ Proven skills and competencies to work with MS/ Excel, MS Access, SPSS is preferable.
∎ Has clear understanding & experience in baseline survey, M&E process and tools.
∎ Has knowledge on qualitative and quantitative M&E system.
∎ Good communication and networking skill both in Bangla & English
∎ Willingness to travel at project areas
∎ Should have interpersonal communication, facilitation and representation skills
∎ Develop MIS for project data entry and compilation at 5 States.
Salary: Tk. 23100 (Monthly)
