Educational Requirements:
∎ Post-graduate degree in a field related to Agriculture/DVM or any relevant department of food security and livelihood (FSL)
∎ Minimum 05 years of relevant experience on Livelihood (Income Generating Activities-IGA, Market linkage), Food Security Livelihood (FSL), DRR, and Rohingya Response
∎ Experience and skills in developing training manuals, guidelines, and tools
∎ Experience and skills in developing tools for community Led/based disaster risk management especially experience in rural Food Security Livelihood (FSL)
∎ Experience in working with local communities, civil society, partners, LGIs, and governments officials both in urban and rural settings
∎ Experience of working in Cox’s Bazar especially in Ukhiya is preferable

Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 115 on-going projects covering 202 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox’s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.
∎ The details of the position including job responsibilities, educational qualification and other qualities /competency required for the above positions are given below for your information:
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The PO-Livelihood will lead and support activities pertaining to Livelihood activities for the target participants at Ukhiya Upazila. S/he will work in close coordination with Program Manager-DRR, Area Coordinator, Head of Program and Head of Operation of Caritas Cox’s Bazar to implement high-quality activities approved in the project. S/he will capacitate the Field Facilitators, Community Volunteers at union/ward level to undertake Livelihood related activities as per the Detailed Implementation Plan.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate business management and life-skill training for the Project Participats (HHs) in IGA
∎ Assist to Develop/Adapt Standard Operating Procedures for IGA, CFW, and Life-skill Training/session materials etc.
∎ Assist to implement various types of schemes through Cash for Work (CFW)
∎ Assist to FFs and CVs to the identification of the most vulnerable HHs and support Provide cash grant support to the most vulnerable Households for the livelihood
∎ Liaise and coordinate with different stakeholders (including Union & Upazila Parishad, Upazila Administration, DAE, DLO, Fire Service and Civil Defense, UN, INGOs and NGOs working in Ukhiya Upazila) specific to DRR, Livelihood to seek their support for program implementation and update them on the progress of the project.
∎ Capacitate the Field Facilitators, Community Volunteers on IGA /Livelihood.

∎ Competence in IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, etc.)
∎ Good Bangla and English-spoken and written, preference will be given to person familiar with Cox’s Bazar local language

Salary:
∎ 65,000 (Consolidated) per month
