∎ Master of Law (LLM)

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals to beneficiary and advise them about their problems.
∎ Present and summarize cases, analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
∎ Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
∎ Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
∎ Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
∎ Prepare and draft legal documents, examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
∎ Negotiate settlements of civil disputes and conduct mediation.
∎ Ensure supervision to junior legal officers.
∎ Prepare monthly/quarterly work plan and progress report.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have Enrollment in Bar Council.
∎ Good knowledge about GBV case management and experienced working with refugee
∎ Must adhere to GBV/CP Core Guiding Principles and international humanitarian principles and standards for GBViE/ CPiE
∎ Cultural awareness and sensitivity, prior experience in Rohingya camps is preferable
∎ Strong background and skills in facilitating trainings, coaching and mentoring others
∎ Experience in program/project management;
∎ IT literate with knowledge of MS word, Excel and internet programs.
∎ Able to travel frequently at different project location.
∎ Friendly and Flexible mentality.
∎ Able to lead and work within team.
∎ Good communication skill in both English and Bengali.
