Job Context:
∎ DASCOH intends to contribute to an improved health status, with special focus on maternal, neonatal and child health, primarily in Rajshahi division. To achieve the goal, CBHC, DG Health, DG Family planning, DASCOH and the SRC commit themselves to support each other in implementing health system strengthening in Community Clinics, Union Health, Family welfare centre and Upazila Health complex.
∎ The Project Officer Health (POH) supposes to work closely with Upazila Health Complex and Union Health & Family welfare Centre so that they will be capable and sustainably provided the quality services. They will play a mentorship and supervisory role so that the available services of the rural, union and upazila institute are ensured. Influence/motivate health and family planning department to work together for optimistic services. Besides this, s/he will provide all sorts of technical support strengthening the health service system.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the quality of the services in particular MNCH and family planning at Community clinics, Union Health and Family welfare center and Upazila Health Complex.
∎ Ensure on the job training/mentorship, orientation, coaching to the service providers to deliver basic quality health services to patients attending the centers.
∎ Strengthen supervision and monitoring system at facilities by the government health officials.
∎ Assess the facilities from the technical point of view and provide suggestion and play role for improvement (Equipment, medicine and logistics).
∎ Suggest for developing the IEC and BCC materials to promote quality health services.
∎ Develop and organize technical training for quality improvement of the services.
∎ Reinforce patient/drug management and strengthen referral system at different level.
∎ Build linkage with GO, NGO, public and private sectors to improve the service of the UH&FWC and UHC.
∎ Identify and document lessons learned and good practices of the project.
∎ Liaise with government and non-governmental health service providers.
∎ Advocate with private sector for quality health services especially technical issues.
∎ Coordinate project staff i.e. Project Officer-CM, Area Coordinator, Field facilitator, Training Officer for smooth implementation of the project activities.
∎ Attend and facilitate different meetings, workshops/training, and orientation programme.
∎ Assist PM to develop the periodic report as and when required.

∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Shall have sound background of project management.
∎ Proven project and staff management skills with a good track record.
∎ Excellent analytical skills.
∎ Excellent in team work., networking and communication.
∎ Knowledge on government health and family planning structures at community, union, upazila and district level.
∎ Computer literacy on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail/internet browsing.
