Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Engineering in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Disaster Management, Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Development Studies
∎ Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Disaster Management/Development Studies/ or any other relevant subject from any reputed educational institutions.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Community Engagement

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Take part in and support on capacity building of Sectorial team, Partner NGO and Disaster Management Committee’s
∎ Coordinate and extend support on the requirement for the team involved in implementation of the “Resilience Data Matrix” impacting on Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation.
∎ Conducting Community Risk/Need assessment with JNA approaches to avoid overlapping.
∎ Staff Orientation regarding the complex and diverse situations in Cox’s Bazar and aid as and when necessary.
∎ Ensures engagement and involvement of affected populations taking into consideration protection, environmental aspects, and long term needs that are reflected in the program's technical design and implementation.
∎ Responsible for implementing project activities such as awareness-raising activities of the community, capacity building of the community volunteers, small scale mitigation measures as identified in community risk assessment and coordination with local DRR & Humanitarian actors;
∎ Work closely with partners at the community-level to proactively strengthen community-based awareness and early warning initiatives;
∎ Assist volunteer team to organize community level awareness session and preparedness campaign.
∎ Have the responsibility to ensure that volunteers teams provide regular updates/findings on the activity and provide recommendations of action in consultation with the operation team (technical staff),
∎ Maintain documentation of all ongoing and completed activities.
∎ Follow up with the Branch Level procurement officer on the on-time procurement and delivery of materials on site.
∎ Follow up Branch Level Finance and accounts for proper and on-time payment and billposting.
∎ Support in organizing donor's field visit including government officials maintain liaising and coordination with relevant Govt. and Non-Govt. local stakeholders.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 2-3 years in Project Implementation/Community Engagement/Awareness Raising Campaign or any other relevant field in development sector of NGO/ INGO
