  • Master’s degree is preferable.

  • 3-5 years of relevant job-related experience in local and or national level development organizations.

  • Prior working experience with Dalit, Adivasi, char dweller, flood victim   and other marginalized communities of Bangladesh will be considered as added qualification. 

  • Skilled in livelihood development approach and Climate resilience activities and youth development process through skill-based training.

  • Excellent report writing skill in both Bangla and English.

  • Good verbal communication skill in both Bangla and English.  

  • Ability to manage necessary processes effectively, and work under pressure with maintain deadlines. 

  • Having good computer skills in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet browsing.   

  • Able to drive motorcycle and have valid driving licence



Responsibilities & Context:

DASCOH Foundation is actively seeking a dynamic Project Officer to strengthen its team for the "Thriving through Equity, Economic Empowerment, and Climate Resilience (THRIVE) Project." This multidimensional initiative, supported by HEEKS/EPER Bangladesh, aims to catalyze positive change in marginalized communities. The primary mandate of this role is to facilitate and execute the ongoing interventions of the "THRIVE" project, including developing, implementing, and monitoring Upazila-specific project activities to ensure effective execution and adherence to project goals while providing necessary support and resources to the staff team. Specifically, the Project Officer (PO) will play a vital role in activity planning and monitoring, supervising staff to maintain high-quality project activity execution, managing financial matters within the approved budget, and ensuring transparent financial transactions at the union and community levels. Additionally, the Project Officer will actively coordinate with relevant GO-NGO organizations and Upazila-level government service agencies, including TVET training institutions and potential employers, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. S/he will maintain effective coordination with the Upazila administration, including the UNO and other relevant offices, and prepare required presentations and case studies for the project. Moreover, building and connecting robust partnerships with stakeholders is essential to ensure the project's success.

Major responsibilities:

  • Supervise field staff and provide necessary guidance, mentoring, and resources to ensure successful implementation.

  • Manage financial matters related to Upazila-level activities, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.

  • Liaise with Upazila-level government service agencies (e.g., agriculture, livestock, fisheries, health, youth, social welfare, education).

  • Coordinate with TVET institutions and potential employers to facilitate youth skill development and employment.

  • Maintain effective communication with Upazila administration, including the UNO and other relevant offices.

  • Build partnerships with GO-NGO actors at community and Upazila levels to enhance project synergy.

  • Ensure functionality and community engagement of the Community Led Learning Centre (BEOCON).

  • Coordinate with the Upazila Education Department for inclusive education outreach.

  • Oversee distribution of learning materials to selected Dalit and Adivasi communities.

  • Facilitate scholarship distribution for eligible children from marginalized groups.

  • Collect field data, prepare presentations, and share updates at Upazila-level meetings.

  • Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports for assigned areas.

  • Showcase project achievements and share success stories with the Project Coordinator.

  • Skilled in livelihood development, climate resilience, and youth empowerment through skill-based training.

  • Strong report writing and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet browsing.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Valid motorcycle driving license for field mobility.
