Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, facilitate the early childhood development-ECD centre, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children, youth and women, promoting climate justice. The organization is implementing project named `Accessing Learning Opportunities to the Young, Adolescents and Livelihood Options for Women (ALOY-ALOW)with the support of `EDUCO Bangladesh`. BTS is going to recruit the `Project Officer` for the mentioned project.

∎ Working Area: Tea Garden and Haor Area of Sreemangal Upazilla, Moulvibazar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organize the information of community people and assess potentialities of the community by analyse the socio economic, cultural condition of the community
∎ Support for smmoth operation of the establishing ECD centre and Pre-Primary school in the Tea garden and Haor.
∎ Enhance capacity of Centre management committee-CMC and SMC.
∎ Provide capacity building support to the ECD and Pre-primary Facilitators, Caregiver of the Day Care Centres and Community Promotors.
∎ Support to function of student council in primary school.
∎ Provide capacity building support of the youth and women of the community.
∎ Prepare action plan for effective execution of the project activities like parenting, homestate gardening, nutrition sessions.
∎ Ensure effective and efficient implementation of planned and approved activities.
∎ Facilitate capacity development of Panchayat, youth group other committees to be more responsible for their roles
∎ Support the community to acquire required services of the local government allocated community through negotiation.
∎ Enhance capacity of the community people for ensuring safe community for the children.
∎ Build link with respective government, tea garden authorities, local and international organization working in the community.
∎ Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly, half annual and annual report of the project.
∎ Monitoring the community groups (CMC, CBCPC, Adolescent and Youth Club etc.) activities and also regular operation of ECD centres and Pre-Primary schools and othe project activities.
∎ Support the community groups to execute the sustainability plan
∎ Provide required data and information to the immediate supervisor
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project's lifetime.
∎ Working Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience in equivalent position of the relevant Filed.
∎ Experience in working at Tea garden areas and working experience on child protection and education of the applicat will be considered as preferable.
∎ Applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Working experience in Program in a National / International NGO.
∎ Women candidate are encouraged to apply.
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.
∎ Knowledge in community development, ability to work under timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.
∎ Good writing and speaking skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
∎ Experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving license.

Salary:
∎ Gross: Taka 40,000.00 (Forty Thousand Taka )

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 2 days weekend
∎ Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
