Job Context:

∎ Job Purpose: S/he will lead on all home garden innovations and initiatives in the project - including preliminary assessment and mapping of households and appropriate garden types, beneficiary selection, staff and beneficiary training, input procurement and distribution, oversight of household level home garden establishment and appropriate farming practices adoption, support supervision and reporting, among others, as stipulated in the project design.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Implementation: Lead on preliminary field assessment for household and beneficiary mapping and beneficiary selection for different innovative home garden types within the Rohingya Refugee camps, tailored to household space, locally available materials and abilities of the elderly, people with disabilities and other vulnerabilities; such as perma-gardens, vertical gardens, backyard gardens, etc.
∎ Coordination: Participate in Camp level coordination with other stakeholders supporting similar initiatives and highlighting Concern Worldwide works as well as picking best practices for adoption with Concern programming.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation: Work closely with the MEAL team to ensure that relevant tools are available across all sites as well as database to compile project deliverables.
∎ Reporting: Work closely with the MEAL officers to ensure that relevant tools are available across all sites/camps and that quality reports are prepared and shared to the relevant personnel in time.
∎ Additional Roles: Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 years' work experience in home gardens or small scale vegetable production
∎ Experience in team management, capacity building and supervision
∎ Experience working in Rohingya Response or similar response
∎ Excellent organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is desirable
