Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee all of Urban Development Programme (UDP) activities-including donor-funded projects like World Food Programme (WFP) food security of COVID-19 affected project intervention for ensuring development and programme wide implementation of a sound knowledge management framework.
∎ Work with all divisions of an organization, including people management, development goals, efficiency and quality improvement, financial management, financial planning, health services development, compliance, public relations, and internal communications.
∎ Collaboration with WFP, city/ municipality authority and also liaise with the relevant government like Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA) and the Ministry of Social Welfare (MSW), phone operator, a2i project, university, training institutions for project implementation
∎ Manage field operations budget ensuring all expenditures are done according to approved budget and take appropriate measures if non-budgeted expenditures are required at field level
∎ Oversee WFP food security of COVID-19 affected project information and communications related activities and ensure timely submission of donor reports, align with the line of BRAC's logframe and DIP
∎ Development of Detail Implementation Plan (DIP), log-frame and production of different Information, review national and international best practices, innovations and successful interventions in areas relevant to WFP food security of COVID-19 affected project strategic priorities and take initiatives to incorporate these in the designs of existing and new interventions
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 08 years' of experience with NGOs/ UN agency/ international development organisation, including at least 05 years' experience in the emergency project or programme is mandatory
∎ Substantial experience in operations management of large scale, complex programmes/ projects
∎ Experience of working in urban development interventions
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge of current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development, women empowerment, community organising and social mobilisation, rights based approach, gender, good governance, access to information, SDGs
∎ Knowledge of project cycle management
∎ Knowledge of results based management and rights based approach

∎ Skills of strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving
∎ Skills of communication and documentation
