Educational Requirements:
∎ You should have master's degree in Business / Economics / Development studies or other social sciences equivalent. Candidate with understanding of the role of business in contributing to Sustainable Development Goals and Government of Bangladesh targets is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supporting the Bangladesh SBN team to develop and strengthen its objectives, through advocacy, stakeholder engagement and the identification of fundraising opportunities, as well as through the engagement of WFP
∎ Building a pipeline of investable and innovative business and supporting them with investor connectivity and access to captive markets such as Workforce Nutrition Program
∎ Strengthening the supply chain for nutritious food through connecting SBN members with different GAIN program portfolio
∎ Ensuring business nutrition indicators and performance management framework are shared among the national SBN through guides and workshops, and also with other global SBNs
∎ Encouraging the business ecosystem to revolutionize to see through the food systems approach and organising the national innovation challenge involving the appropriate partners including the global partners
∎ Identifying issues/areas within relevant government strategy documents and action plans where the private sector could play an instrumental delivery role, through their core business operations
Additional Requirements:
∎ The ideal candidate should have proven experience working in Bangladesh, either in a private company or in a multi-stakeholder development partnership involving business. You should have strong experience in project management, partnership management, business strategy, business processes, business development, communications, marketing and / or management. Candidates with experience in the food industry is an asset.
∎ The postholder should demonstrate excellent relationship management experience, and be familiar with managing a wide platform of stakeholders. You should be highly motivated with excellent collaboration, diplomacy, representation, and negotiation skills. . The ideal candidate should be a strong team player with the ability to work in multicultural and multilingual environment, written and verbal knowledge in Bangla and English is essential. You must be flexible and willing to travel both nationally and globally
Salary:
∎ Salary: From BDT 1,555,584 - BDT 1,777,608 per annum, a higher salary increment maybe available depending on experience.
