The Project Manager – Shelter is responsible for managing shelter and site improvement project activities, ensuring effective use of resources, timely delivery, and quality assurance. The role oversees project planning, budgeting, implementation progress, and compliance with programme objectives, sector standards, and safeguarding commitments under the guidance of Program Coordinator- SCCCM.
Coordinate, and manage shelter and site improvement project activities to ensure timely and effective delivery in line with approved project objectives and workplans.
Manage project budgets and cost controls, including oversight of BoQs, cost estimates, and resource utilization, to ensure cost-effective implementation and proper fund flow.
Monitor project timelines and implementation progress, identify risks or delays, and initiate corrective actions to ensure adherence to agreed schedules.
Ensure quality assurance of shelter and site improvement interventions through regular field monitoring, compliance checks, and alignment with sector and organizational standards.
Coordinate with technical specialists, Camp Focals, and relevant teams to ensure technical inputs are appropriately applied and implementation challenges are addressed.
Support preparation and consolidation of project reports, including biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and completion reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Contribute to proposal development, project documentation, and knowledge management in collaboration with the Sector Lead and authorized teams.
Support stakeholder coordination with Site Management Sector (SMS), CiC officials, and partners to facilitate smooth project implementation.
Ensure safeguarding, PSEA, gender equality, and inclusion principles are integrated and upheld throughout project implementation.
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
