Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Social Science (BSS)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support to the GBV and CBP team of Protection to ensure a high standard of implementation of strategy and activities
∎ Manage a multi-sectoral team of lawyers, social workers, psycho-social support workers and community outreach workers
∎ Cooperate and create partnerships with other organizations to ensure cohesive service coverage
∎ Conduct regular community consultations with refugee and host community to ensure feedback on services
∎ Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of projects on site
∎ Manage budget and expenses of Protection activities
∎ Work with donors to create ongoing partnerships
∎ Integrate gender-mainstreaming principles throughout all protection activities
∎ Train BRAC protection team on Protection principles, SGBV principles, service provision and refugee rights
∎ Attend and participate in Protection, SGBV and PSEA cluster meetings
∎ Ensure BRAC’s compliance with PSEA standards
∎ Coordinate with all Protection Gender based Violence (GBV) sectors in government, UN and NGOs at district and sub-district levels
∎ Involve in proposal development for Protection sectors and quality reporting as per the report agreements
∎ Take initiative in fund raising; develop proposal, result framework and budget
∎ Review programme performance and MIS, and provide feedback to the Protection team through Technical Specialist, Protection GBV Cluster
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programmes goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Have knowledge of Protection in emergency context.
∎ Knowledge of Project Planning and implementation.
∎ Have good communication and presentation skill
∎ Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel)
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Bengali and English
∎ Have leadership and supervision skill
