Job Context:
∎ BRAC is one of the world’s leading development organisation. Since 1972 BRAC is dedicated to alleviating poverty and empowerment of the poor. In continuation to that, BRAC has taken Humanitarian Crisis Management Project in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district to support the displaced people arriving from the Rakhine state of Myanmar.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan, develop and implement mental health and psycho social support (MHPSS) activities in a participatory manner.
∎ Plan and monitor individual and group mental health psycho social support activities in collaboration with psychologist, community psycho social volunteers and community para counselor.
∎ Ensure timely referral and follow up of cases in need of further support.
∎ Develop supervision model for psychologists, Community Para Counselor (CPC) and Community Psycho social Volunteers (CPVs).
∎ Build the capacities of psychologists, community para counselor and community psycho social volunteers including training's in MHPSS, to facilitate participatory and inclusive activities.
∎ Monitor indicators and targets for psychologists, Supervisors and collect monthly data and share it with UNHCR public health unit.
∎ Contribute to information analysis and management
∎ Ensure consistency in the mental health and psycho social activities across different locations, initiate and lead meetings for sharing and learning and continuous improvement of activities through the development and maintaining link with other MHPSS actors
∎ Contribute in project proposal writing for different donors
∎ Prepare concept note for fund raising.
∎ Prepare budget for the project
∎ Maintain Inter & intra coordination with different sectors
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
