Experience:

• At least 5 years

• Masters in Social Science, Environmental Science, DRR and Climate Mitigation and Adaptation, Development Studies, or an equivalent degree.

• At least 5 years

• Age At least 35 years

• At least five years of project management experience in any international or national NGO. Candidates with experience in a self-help approach and work experience in coastal areas will be given priority. Must be capable of independently writing reports in English and must be a team player.

• Computer Skills: Must be skilled in Windows 2010, Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, presentation, Microsoft Office 365, computerized filling, English & Bangla typing, and document filing on the computers, etc.

• Valid Motorcycle License: Capable of riding motorcycle and possessing a valid motorcycle license.

• References: Two referees with email and mobile numbers (One of the referees must be the immediate professional supervisor)

• Self-declaration: Self-declaration that the person has no criminal record and has not committed any gender-based violence (GBV) or child abuse, has no direct political involvement, and has no record of fraud and corruption.

Faith in Action is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) that operates in over 10 districts in Bangladesh. Our primary focus is on climate change and integrated, sustainable, and transformative community development. We specifically target the most vulnerable communities, including climate victims, trafficking survivors, women at risk of trafficking, children, adolescents, youth, and persons with disabilities. We recently received a five-year project in Gabura Union, Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira district. The project aims to enhance food security and promote sustainable livelihoods for a climate-resilient community (CRC) to promote food security and sustainable livelihood. To achieve our project goals and objectives, Faith in Action is seeking a Project Manager. The position is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Probation Period: As per organizational policy

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for achieving the project goals and objectives by leading the project team. This includes defining the vision, building trust among team members, delegating tasks and responsibilities, caring for the team members` interests, monitoring and managing their performance, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Prepare and submit project reports according to the project design.

• Ensure effective collaboration and networking by attending regular government-NGO coordination meetings.

• Seek market opportunities and connect producers with markets.

• Prepare an annual Results-Based Management (RBM) Plan and allocate necessary resources.

• Oversee day-to-day accounts and budgets, acting as a good steward of resources.

• Build the community`s capacity for sustainable and transformative community development.

Location: Gabura Union, Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira District
