Job Context:
∎ Looking for Project Manager - Prevent and Protect Online Child Sexual Exploitation Program Organizer (Undp Project).
∎ The Project Manager is responsible for effective and efficient management, operation and budget utilization of the `Prevent and protect online child sexual exploitation` project. Under this project ASK is facilitating a process with CSOs coalition to maintain network, strengthen CSOs, awareness campaign, report preparation and advocacy. This is a UNDP supported project.
∎ The Project Manager will work closely with CSOs network to maintain smooth coordination and strengthen their efforts to fulfill the following initiatives:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ ADVOCACY, NETWORKING AND COORDINATION
∎ Advocacy initiatives including law and policy review and formulation;
∎ Coordinate and host networking and joint advocacy activities;
∎ Provide written and logistic support to external consultants to better enable their effective completion of the consultancy deliverables;
∎ Communicate with media to achieve greater publicity around the programme's advocacy initiatives;
∎ Follow-up monitoring with relevant stakeholders (government departments, National Human Rights Commission etc) regarding the issue.
∎ COMMUNICATIONS, REPORTING AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
∎ Draft clear Terms of Reference for hiring external consultants to undertake research, prepare reports or provide other technical support to the organization;
∎ Provide feedback on communications and reporting products, such as the IEC materials i.e.: Flyer, Sticker, Leaflet, and Poster etc;
∎ Document and keep records of the processes regarding online abuse and exploitation of children and follow-up initiatives.
∎ SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS AND ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Organize and coordinate consultations with relevant stakeholders such as Educational institutions, National Children Task Force and Youth Groups;
∎ Organize and coordinate special events, such as; Rally, Human Chain, Competition, gathering.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years experiences in implementing development projects
∎ Prior experience of working on human rights / child rights issues, coordinating multiple stakeholders, coalition, network, interacting with children/NGOs and government officials; and project management, monitoring and evaluation is desirable.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Bangla and English
∎ Coordination and project management skills
∎ Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
∎ Time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
∎ Good working knowledge of MS-Office 2013 and ability to use email / internet
∎ Accountable to the Team Leader, CRU
∎ And all other responsibilities allocated by ASK.
Salary:
∎ Consolidated Tk. 40,000/- per month.
