∎ Experience in donor funded project management
∎ Experience in managing road safety/ prevention and response to gender based violence projects will be given preference.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead the activities in public space and public transports to reduce sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
∎ Ensure meeting and conducting workshops with Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), relevant government policy makers, including representatives from Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges on deterrent interventions.
∎ Develop guidelines to stop GBV and SH in public transport (buses), and the use of CCTV and panic buttons.
∎ Develop national prevention and response mechanism guidelines against all forms of GBV in public transport.
∎ Manage project's reporting, MIS documentation and ensuring proper management of the knowledge products and resources.
∎ Responsible for grant management and donor reporting as per donor requirement.
∎ Enhance capacity of District Road Safety Committees (DRSC), City authorities, law enforcement agencies, police hotlines (999), transport sector associations, drivers and helpers etc. to develop and implement localized plans to prevent and respond to GBV and SH in public transports and public places, to provide access & response to hotlines.
∎ Follow-up the training and operations of the project and support in developing training modules, logistics to ensure smooth flow of operations in the training programmes.·
∎ Design gender sensitive training module, knowledge and campaign materials and overseeing the smooth campaigns at the project.
∎ Maintain compliance with EU's visibility guidelines for all activities including knowledge and communication materials.
∎ Monitor the financial issues of the project activities at HO and at the field level through regular field visits and ensure effective implementation of tasks, financial monitoring and compliance.
∎ Coordination with all BRAC programs, departments and government offices concerned with Road Safety.·
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

∎ The SHIKHA project under Social Compolinace Programme aims to strengthen prevention and response to all forms of gender based violence (GBV) at the public and workplaces in Bangladesh through legislative change and effective enforcement, strengthening systems and addressing harmful social norms and gender stereotypes. The project will work in Dhaka, Gazipur, Chattogram, Barisal, Narayanganj and Rajshahi districts in 250 workplaces, 270 educational institutions, public places, digital platforms and with the Government of Bangladesh.

∎ MJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
