Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 273 upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh covering over 8.46 million poor and vulnerable people.

∎ ESDO is implementing the "Protection, Motivation and Empowerment of disadvantaged youth of Extreme North-Western Bangladesh (PROMOTE)" Project supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF). The working area of this project is Thakurgaon Sadar, Pirgonj, Baliadangi, Ranisankail and Haripur Upazila of Thakurgaon District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Youth Advocate contributes to implementation of project activities adhere to plan; ensure quality implementation; maintaining liaison with project stakeholders;
∎ Community mobilization and provide support for Network activation; Identification of community platforms and; Identify appropriate participants for different interventions; Implementation of the Project activities effectively and efficiently in the field.
∎ Development capacity building to the women, the poor & relevant stakeholders., Distributing IEC Materials and organize Video show
∎ Contribute to overall goal & objectives of ESDO
∎ Contribute to the development, review and apply of organizational policies and raise issues connected with the Line Managements.
∎ Selection stakeholders & beneficiaries as per guideline
∎ Activate like minded NGOs Network for quality Social Mobilization.
∎ Liaison UNO, Youth development department, College/School authority, UP and Committee Members.
∎ Promote and protect human rights among the communities.
∎ Arrange training and other capacity building interventions for the stakeholders
∎ Empower community to resolve their disputes at the local level in transparent and affordable manner.
∎ Coordination, networking and dialogue workshops between UPs, WDF, Networks, elites, and local leaders to identify ways of strengthening coordination to collectively address local challenges.
∎ Assist joint promotion of documentation and sharing of field experiences, lessons learned and good practices
∎ Participate coordination meetings, orientation, training, workshops, rallies, seminars and day observance
∎ Regularly follow-up project activities
∎ Ensure the progress as per plan
∎ Prepare monthly & quarterly report & timely submission
∎ Collect good practice and success stories and include into reports
∎ Preserve all files with respective letters/documents/reports
∎ Preserve necessary photographs of the project activities
∎ spend approximately 50% of his/her time in supporting outreach activities
∎ Prepare field visit schedule/plan at the beginning of the month and submit to the concern authority
∎ 90% field work to assist in implementation project activities and other 10% desk work for reporting, documentation etc.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 3 years in Development with 2 years in participatory capacity development working with rights and/ or Local Governance related projects
∎ Coordination skills

∎ Networking skills
Salary:
∎ Monthly consolidated salary Tk. 14000/- only.
