Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Civil Engineering from any reputed university/ polytechnic college
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a self-driven and professional NGO personnel with commitment to work and target groups.
∎ Work Location: Morrelganj and Paikgachha & Koyra Upazila.
∎ Reporting to: Program Co-ordinator.
∎ Project Duration: From March 2023 to till the end of project period.
∎ Project Name: Panii Jibon Project
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare detailed design and construction specifications for WASH infrastructure.
∎ Prepare calculations, scope of works, bills of quantities (BOQ) and drawings for contract work packages.
∎ Supervise the contractors to ensure all construction work is according to design, plan, and specification, besides assisting the contractors/partners in resolving technical issues.
∎ Report any inconsistency or problem occurring on the site to the office.
∎ Inspect and supervise the Quality of any construction materials before the entire procurement takes place and Work closely with the Procurement committee to provide technical support.
∎ Ensure that all designs and technical specifications are shared with the supervisors and WASH specialists at the partner organization and that their comments and agreements are obtained.
∎ Prepare detailed annual implementation, monthly activity, and procurement plans.
∎ Initiate requisitions for procurement of materials, tools, and equipment on time based on Cash and Procurement forecasting.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 03 years experience in civil engineering works or in a relevant organization
∎ 1 year of experience in WASH facilities construction/repair/installation (especially at school and Community level);
∎ WASH engineering design and soft-wear;
∎ Computer Literacy (MS-Word, Excel, power point Auto CAD);
∎ Good skill both in Bangla and English;
∎ Ability to work in a team;
∎ Ability to work under pressure and deadline;
∎ Flexible to face new challenges
∎ Mentality to work and stay at Upazila level in Southern Bangladesh.
∎ Honda license
∎ Understanding of WASH and Climate Change related Project will be an added value for the post.
∎ Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
∎ Working experience costal areas particularly in South-West of Bangladesh.
∎ Working on under pressure in any time.
∎ Skills in operating MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS-Excel.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
