Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Resource Integration Centre (RIC) is a national NGO since 1981 in Bangladesh. RIC is implementing “Improved income security through strengthened intergenerational groups for older people in Bangladesh (ISIGOP)” funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), Bangladesh in Pirojpur (Sadar), Narsingdhi (Sadar and Palash), Dhaka (Khilgaon) for the period from August’ 2024 – March’ 2026. RIC is seeking applications from potential candidates.
∎ Major Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator will oversee and manage the projects to promote social justice, equality, and community empowerment for older people. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the successful implementation of project activities. Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community groups, and other relevant stakeholders. Prepare detailed reports on project progress, outcomes, and impact. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Provide guidance and support to project team members. Takes over the day-to-day management of the project Coordination the project staff and supervises the implementation.
∎ Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, or in a relevant subject.
∎ Experience and Other requirements: At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably within advocacy or development, experience working with Older People/on Ageing issues will be preferred organizations.Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. proficiency in ICT such as MS Office, Virtual Office operations, etc., attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
