∎ Vacancy: Project Coordinator (PC), 01 (Women/diversity are highly encouraged to apply)
∎ Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-governmental; non-political and non-profitable community development organization. MJSKS is going to implement Community-based Resilience, Women`s Empowerment and Action (CREA) project supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF). The project will build resilience towards climate change impacts; build resistance against domestic violence and child marriage; empower vulnerable communities especially women and girls, to address the socio-economic effects of climate change.
∎ The 5 outcomes of the project are:
∎ 1. Service providers both public and local government institutions are responsive, and increased access to the quality services of community specially women & girls.
∎ 2. Improved resilience of the most vulnerable char and attached char communities to climate change impact
∎ 3. Empowered women and girls are dealing with inequality, social injustice, violence incidences and participated in voice raising and protests.
∎ 4. Strong voices and decisions are in place against DVAW and child marriage. Decrease in rate of child marriage and DVAW in the selected climate vulnerable areas.
∎ 5. Risks related to poverty will be decreased with increased family income and alternative livelihoods options.
∎ To achieve above mentioned outcomes MJSKS is inviting applications from the interested qualified candidates for the position.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time, up to project period and based on performance.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing the project activities
∎ Provide ongoing support to project staffs in managing the project as efficiently and effectively
∎ Ensure an inclusive and transparent management style
∎ Conduct staff meeting and Identify their knowledge gap and provide training to develop their skill.
∎ Oversee and support all aspects of project implementation ensuring Gender & human rights, Family law and VAW&G.
∎ Conduct field visit and critically observe field activities and provide timely feedback
∎ Maintain close relationship with govt. line department, like minded NGOs, local elite, member of the civil society and others stakeholders
∎ Review individual work plans of all staff and conduct staff performance appraisal
∎ Identify constraints/challenges of project and take proper strategic solution
∎ Assist Accounts & Admin Officer to formulate operational budget and financial management
∎ Ensuring to preparation of financial reports and keeps financial records in a timely manner.
∎ Support and advise staff on performance management and general career development.
∎ Conduct regular feedback of individual staff and create opportunity to improve their performance.
∎ Ensure all administrative policies and procedures are duly followed.
∎ Ensure effective utilization of all resources including project assets and materials.
∎ Regularly check that all staff is being kept updated policies and procedures of MJSKS.
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with different government departments, UP and other stakeholders.
∎ Circulate relevant project documents and share learning with other project of MJSKS.
∎ Organize monthly meeting and ensure staff activity performance report, action plan.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report, as well as closing report focusing on learning, progress, opportunities and constraints
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse and neglect, harassment and exploitation and establishing a safe working environment.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 10 years' working experience in any National/International NGO; and at least with 3 years of experience on climate change/gender based violence and governance/right based approach/SAT implementation. Particularly working experience in Women Empowerment, Disaster Management, Climate Change and Resilience project will be given preference. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali. Shall have computer skills on MS word, excel, power point and virtual communication (zoom, teams etc.).
∎ Candidate should have a good knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment) and right base approach issue. The candidate should have a valid Motorbike driving license. The candidate also will have to mention their personal email address, mobile phone & Skype ID in the CV.
Salary:
∎ Salary: Monthly gross salary BDT- 45,020/-.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ One festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary for each year. 5% salary increment (based on gross salary) in each year as per performance appraisal. Other admissible benefit as per MJSKS policy which is mentioned in the project budget.
