Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge in Budgeting, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Project Management, Monitoring & Supervision, Reporting, MNCH, QI, WASH, SRHR, Health, and Nutrition.
- Sound understanding of project proposal development, including Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and Theory of Change (ToC), as well as budget preparation and review.
- Good knowledge of national policies and legal frameworks relevant to health, development, and humanitarian sectors.
- Ability to develop key documents such as ToR, MoU, and meeting minutes/resolutions.

Responsibilities & Context: Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS) is a non-governmental humanitarian organization that has been working since 2000 for the advancement of poor men, women, children, youth, excluded communities, and persons with disabilities. NSS is a non-profit, non-political, child- and gender-sensitive organization. NSS is going to implement a project titled “Partnerships for Improved Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in Coastal Bangladesh,” funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) and supported by Concern Worldwide. The project will be implemented in Amtali and Taltoli upazilas under Barguna district, with a duration from January 2023 to December 2026 with a possibility of extension until November 2027.
Job Location: Amtali and Taltoli Upazila of Barguna District.
To ensure the successful implementation of this project, NSS is seeking a competent Project Coordinator (PC) to lead the project team. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management and daily oversight of project activities, including close monitoring and coordination with the donor’s designated representatives and NSS management.
The PC will provide leadership to the project team and maintain effective coordination with a wide range of stakeholders, including relevant government departments, Upazila Administration, local government institutions (LGIs), civil society organizations, and district/divisional-level government officials as required. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for preparing budget plans and ensuring proper allocation of resources across different sectoral activities.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementing and coordinating the overall project activities to ensure the achievement of project goals and objectives.
- Organize meetings, workshops, seminars, community score card and public hearings, and policy dialogues to promote health rights, entitlements, and access to government services.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and donors to foster collaboration and a learning-oriented implementation process.
- Strengthen the capacity of project team members to ensure effective and quality implementation of activities.
- Conduct needs assessments of team members and takes initiatives to address identified capacity gaps in line with the project planning matrix.
- Regularly monitor project progress, ensuring at least 70% of working time is spent on field visits, and provide supportive supervision to team members.
- Maintain effective communication and liaison with Local Government Institutions (LGIs), relevant government line departments, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), and other NGOs (including INGOs) for their effective engagement in the health system for facility readiness and to ensure the health services.
- Build and maintain relationships with the providers of Community Clinics, Union Health & Family Welfare Centers, and Upazila Health Complexes to strengthen local level health system.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with local managers of upazila and district level to effective functional of IMCI and Nutrition corner, Emergency corner, ANC/PNC corner, Labor room, SAM corner, KMC corner to strengthen the MNCH service delivery at the facility.
- Oversee day-to-day project activities and develop checklists aligned with the detailed implementation plan.
- Build effective relationship with local government institutions for fund allocation and utilization to ensure the local level health facility readiness to strengthen the local level health system.
- Collect, update, and analyze data related to maternal and child well-being indicators and overall project impact.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and ensure expenditures align with approved budget allocations.
- Provide supportive supervision to field staff and facilitators based on work plans and schedules.
- Develop IEC materials, training modules, session plans, and communication tools such as leaflets, brochures, fact sheets, posters, flip charts, and audio-visual content.
- Participate in NGO coordination meetings at Upazila and District levels, share project progress, and document and archive meeting minutes.
- Participate in GO-NGO coordination meetings and Hospital Management Committee meetings at district and upazila levels.
- Document best practices, case studies, success stories, lessons learned, and life stories from the project.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on meetings, workshops, seminars, and overall project progress and impact.
- Develop and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to donors and stakeholders, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
- Conduct budget reviews, variance analysis, review financial documents, petty cash, and transactions and ensure effective utilization of resources in coordination with the finance team.
- Support the implementation of internal control systems and procurement processes in compliance with organizational policies.
- Promote and ensure adherence to PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) and safeguarding policies across all project activities.
- Perform any additional administrative and programmatic tasks as required by the project and support organizational planning and decision-making processes.
Job Other Benifits: Salary: TK. 71500 per month with festival bonus and other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
