Job Context:
∎ BANCHTE SHEKHA (Learn how to survive), a leading national NGO, has been working since 1976 in Bangladesh for upgrading the wellbeing and rights of women & children. Banchte Shekha is going to implement USAID`s Promoting Peace and Justice (PPJ) Activity project with the financial and technical assistance of Democracy International, Inc. at Gazipur district. Therefore Banchte Shekha is inviting applications for the following post and requesting applications from experienced and qualified candidates who are highly committed, motivated, dynamic and eligible.
∎ Job Purpose: Overall responsibility for project implementation, financial management and reporting; maintaining liaison with donor and government; managing national level advocacy and networking
∎ Job Location: The job is based in Gazipur district with regular travel to upazila and union level for implementation of project activities smoothly.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall responsibility for effectively implementing the 'Promoting Peace and Justice' Project.
∎ Responsibility for managing, leading and motivating the staff team, including delegation of work, monitoring of performance and communicating information throughout the whole organization, including co-ordination of the monthly team meeting.
∎ Help arrange workshops and seminars on the project objectives and activities
∎ Assist project staffs to implement Promoting Peace and Justice' Project and sensitive DLAC, UZLAC & UPLAC on TIP, GBV, VE issues.
∎ Strengthen the process and ensure program, finance and monitoring functions well.
∎ Create awareness through developing local talents/team members and involve them with cultural programs
∎ Help strengthen the capacity of the UZLAC & UPLAC members and staff
∎ Liaison and activate UZLAC & UPLAC and other Government sectors/Officials at the District, Upazila and Union level.
∎ Ensuring that all organizational policies and procedures are implemented and followed, throughout the project team.
∎ Liaison and dialogue with donors and attend in the donors meeting
∎ Setting and monitoring budgets to ensure that activities are completed within budget
∎ Approving expenditure in line with the financial procedures
∎ Liaise with Finance and Admin officer to ensure that cash is available for planned project activities
∎ Regular field visit & monitoring progress
∎ Representing BS and Donor at district, upazila and union level.
∎ Any other responsibilities as assigned within the remit of the job purpose.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ Project Management.
∎ Minimum 8 years working experience with NGO/Development organizations.
∎ 3-5 years working experience in local government, community legal aid / legal aid issue, right based & gender development projects.
∎ Experienced in Project planning, Implementation, Monitoring and evaluation.
∎ Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal both in Bangla and English with report writing skill in English.
∎ IT literate including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
∎ Good at advocacy with Local Government bodies, Member of Parliament (MPs), Government Officials, Civil society members& other concerned stakeholders.
∎ Both male and Female can apply for the vacant position.
∎ Have valid motorbike driving license

Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)
