Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role of the Project Assistant-GJSI is to support Gender Justice and Social Inclusion team to implement multiple project activities and to ensure local-level relationship formation with government authority and service providers through advocacy and negotiation.
∎ The post holder will be responsible for formatting and functioning of men's and women's groups as per project demand and also will implement gender justice project activities at the field level as per guidelines.
∎ The Project Assistant will coordinate with other OXFAM staff and volunteers in the working areas and assist the partner's staff to effectively implement project activities. Conducting and organizing orientation/training/debriefings/ action planning/discussions session at the host community and in the camp is one of the key responsibilities.
∎ Moreover, the Project Assistant will assist Gender Justice and Social Inclusion Team to ensure women and marginalized people's equal rights, fundamental freedom, access to dignified work, democratic participation, and an environment of respect, justice, and diversity through deploying transformative strategies align with feminist principles.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of practical experience in gender activities.
∎ The post holder should have a clear understanding of protection and gender issues and safe programming in the refugee context and should have the ability to implement the community-based approach in the camp and the host community.
∎ The person should have the ability for awareness raising and advocate initiatives on gender-sensitive issues.
∎ Experience in conducting capacity-building programs for the community and volunteers is one of the key areas.
∎ Finally, we are looking for a person with good communication and writing skills who has a strong commitment to establishing feminist principles in collaboration with other program teams.

Salary:
∎ BDT. 438459 per annum (13 months)
